About Wine Talks

Welcome to my blog!

I’m no wine expert but I love talking about it so join the conversation!

From time to time I will post wine reviews where as other posts might focus not focus on a specific wine but on wine in general. I will also share posts from other (wine)blogs that I find worth reading.

When it comes to wine I favor the Spanish and Italian ones but some Californian wines are not bad either! In fact there are good wines pretty much in every corner of this world.

Hope you enjoy my blog : )

  1. I noticed that you posted on vinoinlove that you haven’t had a lot of success finding good inexpensive wines here. I don’t know where you’re located, Portland Wine Merchants is a great source. I’m not connected in any way–I’ve never been to Portland and have never met the owner, Rory. I just like what Rory manages to find, and I love telling other wine-lovers about his expertise. There’s no bad wine in his stock, and he ships–if you have room to store a few bottles it’s definitely worth exploring what he has. http://www.portlandwinemerchants.com

    • Hi Tracy,
Sorry for my late reply. I was out of town.
I didn’t know about this site. It’s awesome. Many great deals.
Thank you so much for sharing it! always had such a hard time finding inexpensive wine in the United States 😦 This site might change things for me 🙂

      • I hope you enjoy. It makes me happy to be able to pass on good information. I suppose it’s to our advantage that so few people know Rory exists. (And, this is one of the proofs that the intelligence of the “crowd,” while possibly useful, isn’t necessarily the best intelligence).
